About TCBFF

For  over a decade, the Twin Cities Black Film Festival has celebrated the unique cultural perspective of African American film and filmmakers.  An event like few others in the U.S., TCBFF provides a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work and for industry professionals to discover emerging talent.  To date, TCBFF has showcased over 300 filmmakers as well as 450 films,shorts and documentaries.

The mission of the TCBFF is to provide a platform for independent black and multicultural films. It recognizes the accomplishments of colored Americans in Hollywood and across the globe while facilitating the growth of filmmakers of color by providing networking opportunities with industry professionals and the business world.
